Red Ribbon Week– Our school will once again be participating in Red Ribbon Week!  Red Ribbon Week will be taking place from October 28th– November 1st.  At the elementary level, it is necessary for students to learn at an early age that they have choices and that they have the ability to make good choices about a healthy lifestyle.  Teachers and parents should encourage conversations about any issue that would promote the cause of Red Ribbon Week (e.g. learning the importance of healthy eating habits, handling peer pressure, including everyone in games and activities, unity, and understanding the importance of good decision making). Grades 3 and 6 will both have special guest speakers join their classes from CAPS.

  • Monday – Wear Red for Red Ribbon Week!
  • Tuesday – Pajama Day! Wake up and make healthy choices today.
  • Wednesday – Everyone Counts! Wear a team jersey or team clothing.
  • Thursday – Happy Halloween! Wear costumes to celebrate as school community!
  • Friday – Show your Chatterton Pride! Wear Chatterton colors, blue or yellow or school gear today.

On Tuesday, October 29th, our 5thgrade students will go on a field trip to Old Brookville where they will participate in Project Adventure!  It will be a wonderful day of team building with challenging events for everyone!

CAPS Presentations– In keeping with our effort to educate the whole child and keep all students safe, CAPS (Child Abuse Prevention Services) will be at Chatterton to share important information on a variety of topics.  Grade 6 students will participate in Surf Safe.  This workshop will focus on how to stay safe online.  Ask your child about the workshop they participated in this week!

November 15, 2019 Boosterthon Chatterton Fun Run!

Parents and Families—this year’s main fundraiser is the Chatterton Fun Run! It’s a two-week program that kicks off with a Pep Rally on November 4th. Families will then gather pledges to help support our school and students will run laps at the Chatterton Fun Run, which will take place on November 15th! This year our goal is to raise $10,000 to beautify and enhance the inside and outside of Chatterton, and we need your help! We’ve asked the experts at Booster to power our fundraiser to make it easier, more profitable, and more fun.

During the two-week program, students will also experience an amazing character theme, MINDSPARK: WILD WEST! Booster’s most exciting theme yet, combines S.T.E.A.M. skills (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) with character-building. While they’re teaming up with the MindSpark Kids to save Dr. Shock, our students will learn five character traits that will help strengthen themselves and our world.

We’re excited about this amazing event, keep your eyes out for more information coming!
