As you know parent teacher conferences are being held through Zoom meetings this year.  Many of our teachers utilized Sign Up Genius to schedule conferences.  Zoom links will be sent to you directly from the teachers. If you have any questions about your scheduled time, please contact your child’s teacher.  If you would like to schedule a conference with a special area teacher or service provider, please contact the teacher by email to set up an appointment.

Holding conferences over Zoom is new and different for our teachers and for you.  Please be mindful of the following:

·         Please make every attempt to limit distractions.  It is challenging for both parties to have a productive conversation with distractions present.

·         Conferences should be private.  Headphones are recommended so teachers are able to speak openly, particularly if children are within earshot.

·         Please be respectful of your time and others’ time by beginning and concluding on schedule.

We look forward to the exchange of information and continuing to foster positive home-school partnerships.

This year our Thanksgiving tables will surely be filled with turkey and stuffing, thankfulness and gratitude, but may be missing some very important loved ones.  When speaking with our children about Thanksgiving, let’s communicate all of the positive, and do our best not to dwell on the negative, as difficult as it may be.  Focus on quality time together. Establish new traditions.  Prepare a delicious meal to enjoy together, and cuddle up for a family movie night. Share what we are thankful for like our health, our family and friends, and our Chatterton community.  The sacrifices we are making are worth it to preserve the health and well-being of our loved ones and to keep our schools open.  This will surely be a Thanksgiving we will never forget.

We are all especially grateful this year for the kindness, support and encouragement our Chatterton family provides. As we near the end of November, and continue into the holiday season, let’s remember to be thankful for one another and spread kindness to all.  Happy Thanksgiving!

COVID-19 Thanksgiving Reminders:

Quarantine Criteria for Travel

All travelers entering New York from a state that is not a contiguous state, or from a CDC Level 2 or 3 Travel Health Notice country, shall quarantine for a period of 14 days, consistent with Department of Health regulations for quarantine, unless:

1. For travelers who traveled outside of New York for more than 24 hours, such travelers must obtain testing within 72 hours prior to arrival in New York, AND

2. Such travelers must, upon arrival in New York, quarantine according to Department of Health guidelines, for a minimum of three days, measured from time of arrival, and on day 4 may seek a diagnostic test to exit quarantine.

For travelers that meet the criteria above, the traveler may exit quarantine upon receipt of the second negative test result.

Contiguous states are Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont. Travelers from these states are not subject to this guidance.

Travelers who leave New York State for less than 24 hours do not need to obtain a diagnostic test before departing and do not need to quarantine upon return. However, such travelers must fill out the traveler form upon entry and must obtain a diagnostic test on the fourth day after arrival in New York.

Gathering limit: On November 11th, Governor Cuomo announced that gatherings at private residences (indoors and outdoors) is limited to a total of 10 people. All other gatherings are limited to a total of 50 people, this includes catered events.
