PRINCIPAL’S CORNER

PARP 2019 is underway!  Please look at the calendar for the events of the week.  Last Friday, we held a school-wide assembly to kick-off our PARP week and celebrate Dr. Seuss books.  On Monday, we will host a school-wide reading celebration where all students in grades K-6 will meet in small groups to read a story and then act out and illustrate the lesson learned from the book!  Ask your children about the events that have taken place so far!  We look forward to the PTA Book Fair, our author visit, our book reunion day, BINGO for Books, and having special guest readers in our classrooms.  We hope all families are reading together each night and enjoying this special time to celebrate books!

There is a Board of Education meeting taking place on Tuesday, January 14th at 7:15PM in the Louis Kruh Conference Room (behind Lakeside School).  There will be a presentation on Social Emotional Learning in the Merrick School District.
