The Chatterton PTA is looking forward to another great & exciting school year. We would like to extend a warm welcome back to our students, parents, teachers, staff members & administrators as school reopens on Tuesday September 7th. The PTA would also like to welcome our new families & invite you to our New Parents Tea at 9:00 AM in the All-Purpose Room. You will have the opportunity to learn important information, meet other parents, PTA board members, our principal Mrs. Davidowitz, & our assistant principal MS Chimento. Please join the fun at our Welcome back picnic scheduled for Wednesday September 15th from 5-7 PM at the Chatterton field. Food & drinks will be available for purchase & we will have a DJ for your entertainment. This event is always a good time so take this opportunity to say hello & meet new friends. Our first Chatterton PTA meeting will be held on Monday October 4th at 7PM in the All-Purpose Room. Throughout the school year meetings are scheduled at various times to try to accommodate the different schedules of our members. The PTA is an active & important part of life at Chatterton. Attending our monthly PTA meetings is your lifeline to school information. We truly appreciate your ideas, suggestions & concerns. The PTA success is built on the cooperative efforts of the parents, teachers, staff & administrators. Please join us! Chatterton PTA has already taken steps to “go green” & will continue on that path. Last year we had great success with having all lunch orders placed on line. This year we will continue having families order & pay for their child’s lunch on line. Another step we will continue is posting the Monday Memo online, which is saving hundreds of sheets of paper every week! . This year for the first time we will be putting our “Welcome Packets” online. We ask that all parents visit our website at www.chattertonpta.org & read all the important information. Also we ask if you have not submitted your email address on our website please do so a.s.a.p. so you will receive an email link to the Monday Memo every Monday as well as other important information. Chatterton PTA is happy to present this website as an additional information source for the parents and teachers of Chatterton Elementary School. It is our objective to provide an overview of PTA activities, answer questions about the PTA and expose parents to issues within our school system. Your involvement is essential to our children’s academic experience so please volunteer! We’d be happy to answer your questions, work around your busy schedule and provide you with any information you might need. We can’t thank you enough for you participation!
